Investment & Corporate Banking – Healthcare, Analyst | Mizuho

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mizuho, located in the US. Mizuho’s Banking Division provides corporate and investment banking coverage, advisory, solutions, and loan capital markets capabilities to a client base of leading international corporations, financial institutions, and public sector entities. This Analyst role is crucial for directly designing, originating, structuring, and executing mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, leveraged finance, and other global products and services for existing and prospective clients within the Healthcare sector.

• Mission: Design, originate, structure, and execute M&A, capital markets, and finance transactions for clients, primarily within the Healthcare industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry, and company research and analysis to support client engagements.
• Modeling: Create financial models and perform valuations, comparable analyses, and market-specific analyses for various corporate finance alternatives.
• Presentation: Draft and prepare detailed pitch books and marketing materials for M&A, public/private debt & equity capital markets, and syndicated bank financing.
• Coordination: Facilitate product group idea generation and solutions development by coordinating internal and external resources across a broad platform of global capabilities.
• Execution: Assist in financing structuring, underwriting transaction evaluation, preparation, due diligence, and execution for client mandates.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with foundational knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of investment banking, corporate finance, and capital markets experience with a top tier global bank, demonstrating a strong interest in the Healthcare industry.
• Skills: Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information, strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure.
• Bonus: Experience with banking transactions specifically related to the Healthcare industry, maturity and good judgment in handling confidential information, creativity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
