The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Spectrum Search Group, located in Dallas, TX, for a client firm. Spectrum Search Group is conducting a confidential search for a highly respected, family-owned investment bank with a long track record in energy dealmaking. Their Exploration & Production team advises oil & gas clients on M&A, A&D, and capital raising. The firm is looking to add an Associate ready to run live deals and grow into a long-term career within their stable, elite boutique environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Deal Execution: Play a key role in executing M&A, A&D, and capital-raising transactions.
• Financial Analysis: Build and oversee detailed financial models, valuation, and pricing analyses.
• Material Preparation: Prepare CIPs, management presentations, and marketing materials.
• Transaction Support: Support live engagements, business due diligence, and industry/comparable-company research.
• Team and Client Engagement: Mentor and develop analysts while maintaining direct client contact.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field with a strong foundation in accounting and finance.
• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a robust M&A platform.
• Skills: Excellent financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills; sharp written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail; ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Bonus: Energy / E&P (oil & gas) exposure, or deep M&A experience with readiness to specialize.
