What You’ll Actually Do
• Revenue Generation: Drive annual revenue targets by identifying, recommending, and closing new deal opportunities for the firm.
• Client Pitching: Participate in selling and pitching William Blair’s products/services, developing engaging materials with creative analytical approaches.
• Product Strategy: Develop and define product offerings and strategies by leveraging expertise, firm intellectual capital, and market intelligence.
• Deal Execution: Lead the execution of various product offering strategies on behalf of clients, ensuring communication and knowledge sharing within teams.
• Business Development: Target new business opportunities by expanding relationships with existing clients and identifying new clients and referral sources.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this senior leadership role.
• Experience: Previous investment banking experience is required, with 9+ years strongly preferred. This includes a strong ability to lead transaction processes and pitch new business with minimal senior banker oversight.
• Skills: Deep analytical abilities with a sophisticated understanding of accounting and finance. Superior mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills. Ability to supervise and serve as a role model for junior staff.
• Bonus: An MBA is strongly preferred.
