Investment Banking Intern | Aleutian Capital Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person internship at Aleutian Capital Group, located in New York, NY. Aleutian Capital Group is a Wall Street-based boutique investment bank, offering a full range of services that include mergers & acquisitions, comprehensive financial analysis, deal sourcing, rigorous valuation assessment, and strategic due diligence planning & implementation. This 12-week, full-time, in-person internship is a foundational opportunity for a recent graduate to immerse themselves in the world of investment banking. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting the firm’s core advisory functions, gaining valuable practical experience and contributing directly to ongoing projects. This position offers a clear path for development, with the potential to transition into a full-time analyst role upon successful completion.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Company & Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth company and financial analysis to support various advisory projects.
• Deal Sourcing: Assist with deal sourcing activities, identifying potential opportunities for the firm.
• Database Work: Perform database work, ensuring accuracy and utility of critical firm data.
• Industry Research: Execute industry research to provide insights and context for ongoing deals and strategic initiatives.
• Back-Office Support: Provide essential back-office support to maintain efficient firm operations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: We are specifically seeking a recent college graduate who has successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or any other closely related major, demonstrating a foundational understanding of relevant principles.
• Experience: Candidates must possess proven working knowledge of essential office software, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat/Reader. Additionally, for applicants residing outside the tri-state area, immediate relocation to New York City without any financial or logistical assistance is a mandatory requirement.
• Skills: The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration. They must also possess superior analytical and writing skills for clear reporting, demonstrate a keen attention to detail in all tasks, and show the capability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously under deadlines.
• Bonus: Preference will be given to candidates with prior entrepreneurial or investing experience. A strong interest in the M&A sector and investment banking, coupled with a genuine motivation to learn and thrive within a smaller, boutique firm environment, is highly valued. Strong business acumen is also a significant plus.
