The Tone:
This is a full-time role at BTIG, located in New York, NY. BTIG is a global financial services firm with more than 700 employees, specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research, and related brokerage services across 20 cities globally. This Associate position in the M&A and Strategic Advisory group is critical for supporting the Investment Banking team across all facets of its activities, including equity and debt offerings, and merger and acquisition advisory. The role involves taking a significant part in deal execution and client support, while also providing professional guidance to junior team members. What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Execution: Coordinate capital raise and advisory transactions, including leading and participating in drafting sessions and conducting industry and company-specific due diligence related to transactions.
• Client Materials Development: Prepare offering memoranda, proposals, and other written materials for client meetings, alongside company valuations, financial models, and industry-specific business development presentations.
• Business Development Support: Perform research and various analyses to support new business generation, organize and participate in marketing and client meetings, and identify new business opportunities with tailored recommendations for clients.
• Client Interaction & Relationship Management: Interact directly with corporate clients, private equity firms, venture capital firms, and senior bankers, assisting in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and mentor junior bankers, demonstrating leadership in team settings to ensure professional guidance and development.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate level with strong fundamental knowledge of investment banking activities, including public and private market offerings across equity and debt, M&A advisory, and other financial advisory services.
• Experience: At least 3 years of direct experience in investment banking, demonstrating the potential for significant involvement in deal execution and client interaction, coupled with the ability to provide professional guidance to junior team members.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; expertise with relevant banking-related databases and applications such as Bloomberg and CapIQ; ability to use firm-sponsored AI tools; strong written and oral communication skills for expressing complex financial strategies; a strong work ethic, detail orientation, and capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; and current FINRA Series 63 & 79 licenses.
