• Mission: This role involves driving the execution of complex financial transactions for asset management clients, encompassing M&A, divestitures, and capital raises, while also strengthening client relationships and providing strategic advice.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Execution: Drive the execution of complex financial transactions including M&A, divestitures, and capital raises.
• Financial Modeling: Lead the analytical process by developing sophisticated financial models and bespoke valuations.
• Due Diligence Management: Manage comprehensive due diligence workstreams and coordinate cross-functional teams of legal and tax advisors.
• Client Relationship & Strategy: Strengthen client relationships and craft high-impact presentations that synthesize industry trends into actionable strategic advice.
• Leadership Development: Sharpen leadership, communication, and marketing expertise while helping clients navigate their most critical milestones and mentoring junior analysts.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Strong academic record with an MBA and 1+ year of investment banking experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience: Proven experience advising asset management firms, including private market GPs, traditional managers, and wealth management platforms. Demonstrated success in managing buy-side and sell-side M&A, as well as equity and debt financing workstreams.
• Skills: Mastery of corporate finance and valuation methodologies, including DCF, LBO, merger modeling, and precedent transaction analysis. Proficiency in conducting multi-disciplinary due diligence and preparing high-stakes marketing materials. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to multi-task under pressure.
