The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct in-depth research on industries, markets, and specific companies.
• Analysis: Perform comprehensive financial analysis and develop robust financial models.
• Materials: Prepare detailed transaction marketing materials such as pitch books, teasers, confidential information memorandums, and management presentations.
• Valuation: Conduct preliminary valuation work for potential transactions.
• Support: Provide support to the investment banking group and assist sector coverage teams in business development activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: 1-2 years of full-time work experience in investment banking or a similar analytical professional services environment supporting complex transactions, strategic initiatives, or consulting engagements.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), solid quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills, proficiency in developing and analyzing financial and valuation models, and the ability to research and analyze industry and company data, trends, and news to draw thoughtful and compelling conclusions.
• Bonus: Demonstrated interest in the building and construction industry, broadly defined; a proactive approach to volunteer for or request new assignments; the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and independently in a demanding work environment; and demonstrated maturity, integrity, and the ability to perform both individually and as a team player within an entrepreneurial environment.
