The Tone:
This is a full-time role at KeyBank, located in New York, NY. KeyBanc Capital Markets (KBCM) operates as a leading middle-market investment bank, providing a full range of advisory and capital markets services. This Investment Banking Analyst role is an integral member of deal teams, directly supporting the execution of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and strategic advisory transactions. The position offers significant exposure to senior bankers, clients, and live transactions, contributing directly to client success within the Industrials sector.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models to support valuation and transaction analysis.
• Research: Conduct company and industry research to support business development and deal execution.
• Client Materials: Prepare pitch books, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations for client deliverables.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements and assess company performance and valuation metrics.
• Due Diligence: Support due diligence processes and assist in coordinating transaction execution.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a related financial services role.
• Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel-based modeling and valuation techniques; ability to interpret financial data and market trends; skilled in preparing clear, client-ready materials; effective verbal and written communication; capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines with accuracy.
• Bonus: Investment Banking or high finance internship(s); FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE), S7, S79, and S63 licenses.
