The Tone:
This is a full-time Investment Banking Analyst role, located in Tampa, Florida. Selby Jennings is recruiting for a growing client seeking a high-performing individual to join their deal team. This position offers hands-on deal experience, direct exposure to senior bankers, and the opportunity to work on M&A and capital raising transactions across healthcare, business services, and technology.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed operating, valuation, and transaction models.
• Deal Execution: Support live M&A and capital markets processes, including diligence, data analysis, and materials preparation.
• Client Materials: Draft confidential information memorandums (CIMs), management presentations, pitch decks, and industry analyses.
• Research & Analysis: Perform company, industry, and market research to support both active mandates and business development efforts.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with Associates, VPs, and Directors to ensure high-quality deliverables and smooth process management.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or corporate finance.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities; excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple workstreams.
