Investment Analyst Intern- Fixed Income- Fall 2026 | Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators (DMBA)

The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators (DMBA), a non-profit organization. DMBA administers benefits for companies owned by or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This role is crucial for supporting the investment team in managing over $12 billion in assets across various portfolios, contributing directly to the organization’s financial stewardship and success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze Investments: Analyze and prepare comprehensive reports on both existing and potential corporate bond investments.
• Monitor Markets: Provide weekly updates on crucial investment price changes, bond ratings adjustments, and relevant news activity.
• Evaluate Performance: Monitor overall portfolio performance and assist the team in periodic calculations of portfolio returns.
• Model Valuations: Utilize standard industry analytical tools and methodologies to create cash flow and valuation models for current portfolio holdings and managers.
• Conduct Research: Provide accurate and timely deal, sector, and macro-economic research to support the investment team’s decision-making processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Progress on or completion of an undergraduate degree is required, ideally with a student career level.
• Experience: No institutional investment experience is required; strong proficiency with Excel is preferred.
• Skills: Demonstrated critical thinking, strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, effective communication abilities, and proven teamwork skills.
• Bonus: A quantitative emphasis in your degree path is preferred, such as Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Math, or Statistics.
