What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Sourcing & Underwriting: Source, evaluate, and underwrite investment opportunities in culturally aligned, closely-held businesses.
• Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop robust financial models and conduct data analyses to transform data into actionable insights and simple stories.
• AI Tool Development: Build and integrate AI tools to enhance Kanbrick’s internal processes and support the firm’s portfolio companies.
• Due Diligence: Dive into comprehensive due diligence efforts by speaking with customers, competitors, and industry experts to understand businesses from the ground up.
• Post-Investment Value Creation: Roll up your sleeves to support portfolio companies post-investment, driving value through operational and strategic initiatives including M&A, and contributing to the Kanbrick Community and internal firm strategy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Individuals with experience in private equity, management consulting, investment banking, or AI/data-related roles. Candidates should possess a bias for action, a low ego, deep curiosity about business mechanics, integrity, grit, and a long-term mindset.
• Experience: Demonstrated fluency in financial modeling, coupled with a solid understanding of profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Skills: Proficiency with core office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for comprehensive analysis and clear communication. Strong capabilities in general data analysis are expected.
• Bonus: Prior experience in building and successfully integrating AI tools into processes.
