What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Inventory Levels: Utilize the Inventory System to accurately order medical supplies and maintain proper inventory levels throughout the facility, ensuring supplies are readily available when needed.
• Oversee Stock Rotation: Maintain Central Distribution inventory by properly rotating stock to prevent obsolescence and actively manage expiration dates, upholding product integrity and patient safety.
• Conduct Daily Inventories: Take daily inventory of all medical supplies for assigned areas, including isolation, code, and procedural carts, restocking and cleaning them as required to support clinical operations.
• Process and Deliver Orders: Fill orders for supplies and equipment, receiving new shipments using the MMIS system, verifying proper items, and delivering them to the correct departments and storage locations.
• Resolve Supply Chain Issues: Assist in researching and resolving problem orders, including back orders, incorrect shipments, product substitutions, product recalls, returns, and stock level adjustments to maintain supply chain efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a High School Diploma or GED and demonstrate an understanding of inventory control processes.
• Experience: Have a minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare environment with knowledge of medical products (e.g., nursing assisting, medical assisting, surgical assisting, general or unit clerk, or sterile processing area) OR at least two years of inventory experience utilizing an inventory management system.
• Skills: Proficiently utilize an Inventory System to manage supply levels, execute data entry, and perform basic computer tasks using PC applications such as Excel and Word.
• Bonus: Experience with inventory/equipment software tracking systems.
