The TL;DR

• Mission: Provide practical, hands-on experience and insight into commercial construction and construction management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Practical Application: Gain practical, hands-on experience by applying academic knowledge in real-world commercial construction environments.
• Skill Development: Develop and refine skills that are uniquely acquired through on-site experience, which cannot be taught solely in a classroom setting.
• Management Insight: Obtain comprehensive insight into various critical aspects of construction management, including project planning and execution.
• Project Engagement: Engage directly in construction management projects, primarily contributing from a project office perspective while also gaining valuable field exposure.
• Departmental Exposure: Explore specialized departmental functions such as cost analysis and bidding within Estimating, workplace safety protocols and implementation within Safety, or foundational field work as a Laborer intern.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited construction or engineering major program.
• Experience: Academic progress is a key requirement, with specific prerequisites: individuals applying for Construction Management Projects, Estimating, or Safety internships should have completed their sophomore or junior year. For Laborer internships, candidates are expected to have completed their freshman or sophomore year.
• Skills: A strong desire for hands-on learning and practical application within the commercial construction environment.
