Internal Auditor | Humana

The Tone:
This is a full-time remote position at Humana, a leading U.S. healthcare company dedicated to making it easier for millions to achieve their best health through insurance and healthcare services. The Internal Audit group supports Humana’s strategic and financial goals. This role is crucial for providing value-added service by evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes, specifically auditing Information System Applications to ensure controls exist and data is accurate.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audits: Perform IT audit projects and consulting engagements in accordance with established methodology and within budgeted timeframes.
• Testing: Conduct walkthroughs and design testing of various Humana IT business segments, concluding on design and operating effectiveness.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other internal audit team members to support company and team goals.
• Execution: Execute the audit plan as directed by the leader.
• Application: Use professional concepts while consistently applying standard skills and techniques in audit work.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with less than 3 years of audit experience, focused on auditing Information System Applications.
• Experience: Less than 3 years of audit experience; prior audit experience, such as creating audit work papers, is preferred.
• Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple or competing priorities, and excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Bonus: Certifications such as CISA, CIA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or actively working towards obtaining them.
