Job Description: Intern/Trainee in Tax Services:

This internship offers an opportunity to work within PwC’s tax practice, contributing to various phases of client engagements. Responsibilities include:

Tax Research and Analysis: Researching and analyzing tax laws, rules, and regulations; applying this knowledge to real-world scenarios; and drafting memorandums to support decisions and solutions.
Project Support: Contributing to select projects, demonstrating initiative and creative thinking as part of a team.
Collaboration and Feedback: Proactively seeking guidance and feedback from senior team members.
Prioritization and Task Completion: Demonstrating flexibility in managing and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Job Requirements and Preferences:

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, minimum 3.0 GPA, fluency in Japanese and English.
Preferred Qualifications: Ideally in the 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program, with internship participation during winter/spring or summer before graduation. Meeting educational requirements for CPA licensure (either completed or in progress) is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated abilities in researching and analyzing tax laws, communicating effectively with various levels of client and firm management, self-motivation, a desire for career development, and experience researching business and industry trends. Exposure to automation and digitization in a professional services environment, including working with large datasets and data visualization tools is a plus.
