Job Description: Intern/Trainee in External Audit Services

As an intern or trainee, you will be part of a team tackling complex business challenges, contributing from strategy development to execution. The role involves supporting various phases of financial statement audits and select projects. You will be expected to demonstrate creative thinking and initiative while collaborating effectively within a team and building strong relationships with colleagues. Proactive seeking of guidance and feedback is essential. The position requires flexibility in prioritizing tasks and exhibiting professional skepticism. Job Requirements and Preferences:

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• Required GPA: 3.0
• Minimum Experience: 0 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ideally, in the 3rd year of a 4-year program or 4th year of a 5-year program.
• Internships typically occur during winter/spring or summer before graduation.
• Before full-time employment, meet educational requirements for relevant professional credentials (e.g., 150 credit hours for CPA licensure). Reciprocity options may also be considered.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
• Interest in auditing and a public accounting career.
• Basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems (including GAAP).
• Ability to research and analyze client, industry, and technical matters.
