Praktikant (Intern) | RÖDL USA

The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at RÖDL USA, with opportunities across multiple US offices including Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, and Manhattan. RÖDL USA specializes in providing accounting, auditing, and tax services primarily to foreign-owned, German-speaking, and European family businesses operating in the U.S. This role offers critical practical experience in international accounting, auditing, and tax projects, contributing to the firm’s comprehensive client support and global vision.

• Location: In-person, multiple US offices including Atlanta, GA (headquarters); Birmingham, AL; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH (supporting VonLehman & Company & Rödl & Partner Joint Venture); Detroit, MI; Denver, CO; Greenville, SC; Houston, TX; Manhattan, NY; and Philadelphia, PA. Specific pay range applies to Chicago, Denver, and Manhattan metropolitan areas.
• Pay: $20–$32 hourly
• Team: Works within a high-performing, interdisciplinary team.
• Mission: To gain practical experience and contribute to international accounting, auditing, and tax projects for foreign-owned businesses in the U.S.
• Tech Stack: ProSystems Engagement, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Auditing & Tax: Participate in practical projects related to US and German auditing and tax consulting.
• Financial Preparation: Prepare documents such as bank reconciliations and cash audits.
• Tax Assistance: Contribute to processes involving tax estimations.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate actively within a high-performing and interdisciplinary team.
• International Exposure: Engage in challenging activities within an international business environment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate student with at least three semesters completed in economics studies, specializing in international accounting, auditing, or taxes.
• Experience: Possess initial theoretical or practical experience in accounting or taxes. This internship requires a minimum commitment of 6 months.
• Skills: Fluent in both spoken and written German and English; demonstrate self-initiative, strong analytical abilities, and a high quality awareness.
• Bonus: Previous internships abroad and other additional qualifications are beneficial.
