The Tone:
This is an internship at RÖDL USA, available across multiple US offices including Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Boston, MA, Charlotte, NC, Chicago, IL, Cincinnati, OH, Denver, CO, Detroit, MI, Greenville, SC, Houston, TX, Manhattan, NY, and Philadelphia, PA. RÖDL USA provides accounting, auditing, tax, and business consulting services primarily to German-speaking and other European family-owned mid-sized businesses operating in the U.S. This role offers critical insights and hands-on experience in international auditing, accounting, and tax consulting, directly contributing to the firm’s client success and global vision.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Experience: Collect practical experience in all areas of US and German auditing and tax consulting.
• Training: Participate in structured training sessions covering areas such as ProSystems Engagement, Microsoft Excel, bank reconciliations, cash audits, and tax estimates.
• Collaboration: Contribute as a team member within a high-performing and interdisciplinary team environment.
• Engagement: Undertake demanding activities within an international professional setting.
• Support: Assist with various accounting, auditing, and tax projects for US subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum three semesters of economics studies with a focus on international accounting, auditing, and/or taxes. This is an Entry-Level position.
• Experience: First theoretical and/or practical experience in accounting and/or taxes.
• Skills: Fluent German and English skills in both spoken and written communication, a cooperative approach to teamwork, self-initiative, a strong quality focus, and good analytical abilities.
• Bonus: Internships abroad and additional qualifications are an advantage.
