Job Description: Intern / Trainee in External Audit Services

As an Intern / Trainee, you will be part of a team dedicated to solving complex business issues, from strategy to execution. You will be responsible for:

Core Responsibilities:

• Supporting select phases of a financial statement audit.
• Supporting select projects, demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative while working as a team member.
• Building solid relationships with team members.
• Proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback.
• Demonstrating flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.

Job Requirements and Preferences:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• 0 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Client service intern positions are typically filled by students in their 3rd year of a 4-year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5-year program.
• Interns typically join during the winter/spring or summer before their intended graduation year.
• Preferred Certifications: Before starting full-time with PwC, meet all educational requirements for the primary credential license appropriate for your practice area. This may include meeting the 150-credit hour requirement for the CPA license in the state where your office is located or providing documentation proving that your CPA license can be obtained through reciprocity based on a license held or exam passed in another state.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

• Demonstrate an interest in auditing and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems, including generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and current accounting policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate some ability to research and analyze relevant client, industry, and technical matters.
• Demonstrate basic experience and proven abilities in:
• Utilizing problem-solving skills.
• Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
• Interacting with different levels of leadership (client and/or team-based) in both written and verbal form.
• Self-motivation and taking responsibility for personal growth and development.
