Job Description

Program Overview
The internship program at Bedrock offers emerging professionals the chance to gain practical, hands-on experience within their assigned team or business area. Interns will have opportunities to work and collaborate with others. The program is designed to help participants develop real-world skills, explore potential career paths, contribute to impactful projects, and gain mentorship. Through this experience, interns will learn how Bedrock, as a full-cycle real estate and development company, brings vibrant and sustainable urban cores to life.

Real Estate Financial Operations Teams
The internship offers placement within various business areas that fall under Real Estate Financial Operations. These areas include:
• Accounting
• Public Finance
• Financial Planning & Analysis
• Capital Markets
• Acquisitions & Transactions
• Asset Management

Internship Application Instructions
In addition to applying through the posting with a resume, all applicants are required to email a personal essay. The essay should be no more than 500 words and must address the following points:

Position Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Must be an undergraduate student entering their junior year or higher in the fall of 2026.
• Must be pursuing a degree related to the team or business area indicated in their personal essay.
• Previous internship or work experience is considered beneficial.
• The internship is fully on-site at Bedrock’s offices and properties located in downtown Detroit, MI.
• Housing at Wayne State University can be requested by interns whose permanent address is more than 50 miles away from Detroit.

Internship Qualifications
Successful candidates for the internship should possess the following abilities and skills:
• Ability to perform tasks in accordance with established procedures.
• Ability to think critically and solve basic problems.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
