Wonderful Scholar Summer Internship, Accounting | Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds

The Tone:
This is a summer internship at Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds, located in Los Angeles, CA. As the world’s largest vertically integrated pistachio and almond processor, the company harvests billions of Non-GMO Project Verified and sustainably produced nuts annually. Operating state-of-the-art processing technology, Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds delivers high-quality nuts to global customers and consumers. This internship is specifically designed to provide hands-on experience within the accounting department, allowing the selected Wonderful Scholar to contribute to a key project focused on crucial process improvements. The role directly supports the accurate and efficient handling of financial and operational data, vital for the company’s ongoing success and advancements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Organize, review, and analyze financial and operational data.
• Information Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
• System Testing: Assist with Oracle ERP process flow testing and perform data validation.
• Documentation: Document testing steps, results, and maintain organized records of activities.
• Discrepancy Reporting: Identify discrepancies and report findings to the Accounting/Finance team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field, and enrolled in the Wonderful Scholar College Success program. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience: Experience assisting with data organization, review, and basic analysis.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills (data organization, formulas, sorting, filtering, basic analysis); strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
• Bonus: Eagerness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives; ability to adapt to a changing environment.
