Job Description:
This is an internship position for a Planning Intern located in Kent, WA, at Parker Hannifin Corporation via Lensa. The intern will work as part of the production planning team to develop and refine production schedules, track and analyze orders, and manage inventory levels. The intern will work closely with procurement to ensure sufficient raw materials are available to meet production targets.
Key Functions and Responsibilities:
• Identify raw material and component requirements from engineering and production specifications.
• Ensure accurate item master schedules and bill of materials.
• Communicate the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to management.
• Confirm materials supply is available to meet demand.
• Prepare work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts to support the master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
• Coordinate materials movements between internal work and storage areas, and with outside processing, suppliers, or other division locations.
• Schedule and expedite the movement of parts to meet customer shipping dates. Project component.
Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate will be a sophomore or junior majoring in Business.
• Must possess excellent clerical, writing, computer, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
Compensation:
The hourly wage range for this role is estimated to be $20.00 – $27.00, depending on experience, skills, training, education, and other business needs.
