Intern, Federal Tax (Private Client Services) – Summer 2027 | Alvarez & Marsal

This role is crucial in assisting private clients with complex tax matters, helping them achieve optimal tax minimization strategies and ensuring compliance with tax authorities. What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Perform financial analysis to develop optimal tax minimization strategies for clients.
• Research: Investigate federal, international, state, and local income tax regulations.
• Prepare: Draft federal and international income tax returns for various individual and entity types.
• Develop: Assist in creating economic models used for strategic planning and transaction evaluation.
• Collaborate: Team with colleagues and participate in client meetings.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field, with an earliest graduation date of December 2027 and latest graduation date of June 2028.
• Experience: High proficiency in spreadsheets.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong analytical skills, ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Bonus: Intent to pursue CPA, JD or LL.M.
