What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze Supply Chain Solutions: You will analyze various supply chain solution opportunities, thoroughly assessing how these can effectively meet the specific logistics needs of customers. This involves a deep dive into potential improvements and efficiencies within the supply chain framework.
• Interpret Key Information: You will be responsible for using and interpreting all relevant cost information, market data, and value-added insights. This comprehensive analysis will inform strategic decision-making regarding supply chain optimization and pricing.
• Develop Pricing Proposals: You will develop detailed pricing proposals, ensuring they are authorized and subsequently executed. These proposals are crucial for supporting the diverse objectives of multiple ArcBest business units, aligning financial strategies with operational goals.
• Protect Corporate Yield: A core responsibility will be to protect corporate yield. This involves careful consideration of pricing strategies and supply chain analyses to ensure financial health and profitability for the business, safeguarding revenue streams and market position.
• Advise on Pricing and Marketing: You will advise both internal teams and external customers on the most effective and desired pricing and marketing approach. This involves communicating complex financial and strategic information clearly to ensure alignment and achieve desired business outcomes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should possess an academic background, likely currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related business discipline. This role requires a foundational understanding of logistics, economic principles, and supply chain operations.
• Experience: Direct experience or academic project work in analyzing supply chain opportunities, developing and authorizing proposals, and executing pricing strategies. Experience involving the interpretation of cost, market, and value-added information is essential.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills for supply chain problem-solving; proficiency in interpreting financial and market data; competence in developing and executing formal pricing proposals; ability to advise and communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients on strategic pricing and marketing approaches.
