Job Description:

KPMG is seeking an Intern to join their Economic and Valuation Services practice. This internship offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:

Understanding transfer pricing and tax principles and regulations: This involves researching and analyzing how these principles impact businesses and working with KPMG member firms worldwide to help clients achieve their transfer pricing goals.
Research and analysis of value chains and value drivers: The intern will research and analyze value chains and value drivers in different industries to evaluate transfer pricing options.
Transfer pricing benchmark research and analysis: This involves analyzing data and drawing comparisons to identify transfer pricing best practices.
Preparation of deliverables: The intern will contribute to various deliverables, including reports, client presentations, and client communications.
Collaboration with team members: Working alongside KPMG team members in the US and globally to help clients achieve their business goals.
Financial analysis and modeling: This includes assessing the impact of different intercompany transactions and transfer pricing policies using Excel, AI, Alteryx, Power BI, and KPMG proprietary tools.
Staying abreast of industry trends: The intern will stay informed about the latest transfer pricing and tax developments globally.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative field with a focus in taxation.
• Must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Coursework or minor in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Data and Analytics is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access, Power BI), Alteryx, Tableau, artificial intelligence (AI), and other data analysis and visualization tools.
• Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
• Ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Flexible and adaptable team player.
• Demonstrated quality service mindset and sales or customer service experience are a plus.
• Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation.
• Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, sometimes with short notice.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship is preferred.
