INTERN – Digital Design

Job Description:

As a Digital Design Intern at Nintendo of America, you’ll be actively involved in meaningful projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience within a leading entertainment company. The internship runs from June to August and includes mentoring, networking opportunities, and exposure to industry leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the Creative Production team to design for various online marketing channels, including Nintendo’s websites, emails, and social media.
• Create visual assets for advertising, retail, and web marketing initiatives.
• Assist in developing templates and components for the Design System Library.
• Contribute to and collaborate on other design tasks and initiatives.

Requirements:

• 3.0+ GPA
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a graduation date between May 2025 and June 2026.
• Pursuing a degree in Communication/Interaction/Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UI/UX, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals across the organization.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Passion for visual design, interaction design, and branding.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of responsive web design principles, design systems, and component design (a plus).
• Experience with HTML/CSS and product development (a plus).
• Familiarity with the gaming industry and the Nintendo brand (a plus).
• A portfolio showcasing your design work.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week onsite throughout the 10-week summer internship (June – September).

Important Note:

This internship is onsite in Redmond, WA, and remote work is not available at this time. Housing and travel support will be provided for non-local hires.

Compensation:

• Base pay range of $25 per hour.
• Paid sick and safe time.
• Perks like a local transit pass and access to the onsite fitness center.

Please note: Interns are not eligible for full-time employee benefits, including healthcare or 401(k), due to the limited duration of the role.
