Job Description:

This internship at GE Vernova’s Digital COE involves participating in the development of technical solutions for projects aimed at creating new low-carbon footprint circuit breaker chambers.

As part of developing new digital solutions within the Digital Center of Excellence for monitoring high-voltage equipment (circuit breakers/disconnectors/power transformers), the proposed internship topics will focus on:

• Developing a simulator for monitoring insulating gas in high-voltage electrical switching devices (circuit breakers/disconnectors).
• Developing an application for analyzing and filtering transient current/voltage regimes during high-voltage circuit breaker operations, within the framework of CSD 100 (Controlled Switching Devices).
• Developing a simulator for concentrations of various dissolved gases in transformer insulating oil.

The intern(s) will be trained on the high-voltage switchgear environment and HMI/IED during the initial period of the mission.

They may also contribute to other related topics based on project needs.

They may also be required to perform programming related to the internship topic on IEDs.

Required Skills & Qualities:

Knowledge:
Required: Electronics/Industrial IT/PLC programming (C#, Python)
Appreciated: Signal processing/Electrical Engineering/Proficiency in C# .NET (WPF) programming.
