Billing Integrity Intern, KY | PPL Corporation

The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at PPL Corporation, specifically within Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company, located in either Louisville or Lexington, KY. • Team: Billing Integrity Team
• Mission: Ensure the accuracy of customer billing records contained in the Company’s internal customer care system by analyzing billing exceptions and researching inquiries.
• Tech Stack: SAP-CCS, Microsoft Word, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Analyze and provide solutions for billing exceptions within the SAP-CCS system, researching and correcting errors on service orders and customer accounts.
• Report: Assist in developing and analyzing various Billing Integrity reports, including monthly statistical, daily efficiency, and ad hoc reports for management or rate proceedings.
• Research: Perform comprehensive research in the SAP-CCS system to calculate and process billing corrections, including rebills and adjustments, and estimate usage for accurate bills.
• Collaborate: Interact with internal departments to research and correct identified customer billing errors, and coordinate meter rereads and change out requests.
• Explain: Provide accurate account information and explain billing adjustments to both internal and external customers upon inquiry.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours/semester) in an accredited four-year institution, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business, data analytics, accounting, finance, or economics.
• Experience: Minimum GPA of 3.00, with working knowledge of PC systems including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to analyze data and perform complicated rate calculations.
• Skills: Demonstrated problem-solving skills, effective communication and organizational skills, the highest degree of accuracy and timeliness, and the ability to multitask and take ownership of problems.
• Bonus: Proficient Excel knowledge and experience are a plus, along with a working knowledge of rates, tariffs, and regulations for electric and gas service.
