Job Description: Intern, Corporate Tax Group

This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic world of corporate tax. You will be working closely with experienced tax professionals within the Corporate Tax group, supporting their daily operations and contributing to key projects.

Responsibilities:

Support Tax Professionals: Assist various managers with a variety of tasks, including tax calculations, jurisdictional filings, and deadline calendar updates.
Process Improvement: Contribute to the documentation of processes, data manipulation within the ERP system, and ongoing efforts to improve efficiency and automation.
Project Management: Take ownership of smaller projects from start to finish, gaining valuable experience in managing tasks and timelines.
Networking: Build connections with colleagues within different departments as well as external service providers, broadening your professional network.
Tax Expertise: Gain practical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax returns for C-corps and partnerships.
Tax Savings Initiatives: Assist management in exploring and implementing strategies to optimize tax savings.
Compliance: Contribute to the processing and documentation of quarterly and annual tax filings and payments.
Communication: Draft correspondence to taxing authorities and create clear and concise documentation for various tax processes.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to research and learn independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly.
