CASE MANAGER (MSW INTERN) | Spring Mountain Treatment Center
The Tone:
This is an unpaid internship at Spring Mountain Treatment Center, located in a secure inpatient setting. The company is a 110-bed mental health facility providing acute crisis stabilization services for adults, teens, and children since 2001. This role matters by providing quality case management and psychotherapeutic services, supporting the hospital’s treatment program and philosophy, and assuring the delivery of quality treatment to patients and their family members.

• Mission: To provide quality case management, psychotherapeutic services, and discharge planning for patients and their families in an acute mental health setting.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Assessment: Conduct psychosocial assessments by interviewing patients and family members to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus.
• Therapy: Provide group and family process-oriented therapies, as well as conduct educational and other groups for patients and family members using various professional treatment modalities.
• Coordination: Coordinate referrals for services, utilizing interpersonal skills to maximize excellent customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism.
• Planning: Work with the Discharge Planner to develop, implement, and document a safe discharge plan for patients.
• Development: Attend educational sessions to continually update knowledge base related to behavioral health and social work issues.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree in social work.
• Experience: Experience in taking psychosocial history and case management.
• Skills: Current licensure in the State of Nevada (CSW-I, LCSW); knowledge of developmental psychology of adolescents and adults; capacity to identify pertinent clinical information; knowledge of clinical issues related to mental health patients and their discharge planning.
• Bonus: Experience with age-specific inpatient settings.
