The Tone:
This is a full-time Intern role at Capex Funds, a hybrid position based in Chantilly, VA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The firm offers a comprehensive range of services, including capital raising, pitch deck design, brand development, and in-person investor events, helping clients secure funding from investors, family offices, and private funds. • Mission: Provide essential support for capital raising initiatives by assisting with critical market and investor research, preparing and reviewing vital pitch materials, and gathering comprehensive data for client presentations and internal reports, thereby contributing directly to client success and gaining exposure to key industry processes.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct thorough market and investor research to identify opportunities and gather intelligence, directly supporting Capex Funds’ capital raising initiatives.
• Presentation Development: Prepare and meticulously review pitch materials, and gather relevant data for client presentations and internal reports, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Event Coordination: Assist in the coordination and logistics of investor events, helping to facilitate effective interactions between clients and potential funders.
• Information Management: Organize and structure information effectively for pitch decks, and diligently maintain critical databases and documents to ensure accessibility and order.
• Brand Support: Contribute to brand development activities across various digital channels, helping to enhance Capex Funds’ and its clients’ market presence.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should possess a basic understanding or have completed relevant coursework in finance, business, marketing, or a related academic field.
• Experience: Demonstrated application of strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to effectively organize data and summarize findings clearly. Developing skills in business writing and presentation development are key, with an expressed interest in creating compelling pitch decks and investor communication. Practical comfort with Microsoft Office tools (specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) is required, alongside a willingness to adapt and learn new software as needed for specific tasks.
