Responsibilities:
As an Intern, you will play a vital role in assisting clients and families on their journey to well-being. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing skills-based services to assist clients and families in meeting identified goals (e.g., coping skills education, parenting skills training, etc.).
  • Working with children, adolescents, and/or adults, as assigned.
  • Linking families to community resources based on their specific needs.
  • Collaborating effectively with other Georgia HOPE/HCA staff and community partners to ensure effective treatment, service provision, and case collaboration.
  • Documenting detailed case notes in the online electronic medical record system (CareLogic).
  • Attending regular team meetings to discuss cases and contribute to treatment planning.
  • Attending agency trainings, as needed, to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications (Intern Position Requirements):
We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently working towards a Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field.
  • Possess basic computer skills, including familiarity with using the internet and Microsoft Word.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize an online electronic medical record system (CareLogic).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to function effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team and work cooperatively with other agency employees.
  • Commitment to conducting oneself professionally and ethically with clients, co-workers, and community partners.
