What You’ll Actually Do
• Perform: Complete audit testing on financial statement accounts such as cash, accounts payable, or fixed assets.
• Collaborate: Work with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Draft: Help to prepare management letter comments and sections of the audit report.
• Engage: Participate in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Intern candidates must be actively working toward CPA Exam eligibility, demonstrating satisfactory academic performance in major-related coursework. Maintaining a minimum cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 is required.
• Experience: This entry-level role requires reliable transportation to and from the assigned office, along with the ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person to serve clients effectively.
• Skills: Solid technical accounting knowledge is essential. Candidates must demonstrate effective time management to handle various tasks and deadlines, coupled with strong oral and written communication skills for interacting with clients and internal teams. The ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently on assigned tasks is crucial. A problem-solving attitude, close attention to detail for accuracy, and the capacity to work under pressure and against deadlines are also required for success in this role.
• Bonus: Strong computer skills are preferred, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite. A willingness to take initiative in daily responsibilities and learning opportunities is also a plus.
