Accounting Intern – Tallahassee, FL (Summer 2027) | Myers & Stauffer

The Tone:
This is an internship at Myers & Stauffer, located in Tallahassee, FL. Myers & Stauffer is a certified public accounting and health and human services consulting firm with over 900 associates nationwide, specializing in audit, accounting, data management, and consulting services for government-sponsored healthcare programs. This role supports state and federal government health and human service clients, focusing on those in need, within a welcoming and collaborative culture. This internship also offers the potential to become a direct full-time hire after graduation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Work: Perform all aspects of a project or work in progress and apply knowledge gained to future projects.
• Understanding Services: Develop a general understanding of Myers and Stauffer services.
• Inquiries and Requests: Respond to all inquiries and requests.
• Goal Attainment: Strive to attain goals established by direct supervisors.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain a positive attitude toward self, other professionals, clients, and Myers and Stauffer, along with a professional appearance and manner.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Intern must be working toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Active participation in student organizations and work experience.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, proficient use of applicable software programs including Microsoft Office suite.
• Bonus: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency, manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments.
