Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space, and satellite industries. Valence aims to streamline the aerospace supply chain by providing an all-inclusive solution in every region of the country, reducing costs, lead times, and the number of suppliers involved. They maintain over 3,500 approvals for various prime and programs.
Job Description
This job posting is for internship opportunities at Valence Surface Technologies’ facilities in Lynwood, CA 90262. The pay range is $17.23 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
Key Requirements and Qualifications:
• Preferred backgrounds are those on track to attain either associates or bachelors degrees or a technical certificate.
• Interns must be currently enrolled in or have graduated with a relevant degree program (e.g. Logistics, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace or a related field).
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, data visualization software).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving attitude.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of supply chain concepts and principles is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• The position is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
