Job Description:

CED is seeking an Intern for their Orlando – Greentech Renewables department in Orlando, FL. This internship is designed for sales-oriented candidates interested in sales or management.

The highly structured 10-12 week paid introductory course provides a working knowledge of the electrical distribution industry through mentoring and on-the-job training. Interns will be exposed to all aspects of the business, including:

• Warehouse operations
• Shipping and receiving
• Counter sales
• Sales and interpersonal skills
• Customer relations
• CED business philosophy

Interns will also have the opportunity to work on special projects such as market sales or customer analysis, as well as other projects custom-designed by the management team and the intern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learning all aspects of the CED business
• Communicating – both written and spoken – in English.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring work authorization sponsorship by CED now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
• Detail oriented
• Ability to solve problems
• Must be a self-starter who can handle a heavy volume of work and be able to handle multiple tasks at the same time

Working Conditions:

Conditions vary based on the intern’s current segment of training and will include warehouse, office and external environments. Activities may include lifting, sorting, standing, and possible extreme heat/cold conditions. Office segments may include sitting for extended periods.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $16 to $16 hourly.
