The Tone:
This is a full-time, temporary internship at Gowan Company, an organization focused on providing interns with comprehensive hands-on experience across its various departments. Located in an office setting in Yuma, AZ, this role is designed to foster professional development and offer exposure to diverse facets of the business over a 3-6 month period. The Intern will play a key role in supporting ongoing projects, contributing ideas, and performing essential administrative tasks, directly aiding departmental objectives while gaining valuable industry insights and refining critical professional skills. What You’ll Actually Do
• Departmental Immersion: Participate in a range of assignments across different departments such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and IT, designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the business’s various functions, and assist in departmental projects by providing support and contributing ideas to enhance project outcomes.
• Project Support: Support team members in executing both day-to-day tasks and long-term projects, which includes conducting thorough research, compiling relevant data, and preparing comprehensive reports to aid in critical decision-making processes across the organization.
• Professional Growth: Actively engage in structured training sessions and workshops to develop professional skills highly relevant to the industry, and consistently receive mentorship and constructive feedback to foster continuous personal and professional growth throughout the internship.
• Operational Assistance: Perform essential administrative duties as needed, including efficiently scheduling meetings, meticulously managing various documents, and accurately maintaining records, while also assisting in the organization of company events, meetings, and other key activities.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams across the organization to achieve common goals, and communicate clearly and precisely with team members and supervisors, ensuring both clarity and efficiency in all task executions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: No prior experience is explicitly required, though previous internships or work experience in a related field are considered advantageous.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong verbal and written communication abilities, excellent time management and organizational skills, critical thinking for problem-solving, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bonus: Relevant coursework or projects that demonstrate applicable skills and knowledge, and familiarity with industry-specific software.
