About the Role
PlateTale is an early-stage startup building the future of food discovery and home-cooked meals. Interns will join the founding team in San Francisco to help build the company from the ground up, playing an important role in growth, testing new ideas, and improving the experience for users and sellers. Success means being reliable, taking initiative, learning quickly, and being willing to help wherever needed.
What You’ll Do
• Support growth efforts by helping recruit users, sellers, and campus/community partners.
• Assist with daily operations, including seller onboarding, order coordination, and customer feedback.
• Help create marketing content for social media, group chats, email, or events.
• Talk to users, collect feedback, and share insights with the founding team.
• Support product, design, operations, or engineering projects depending on interests and skills.
• Take ownership of small projects and help the team move quickly.

• Are hardworking, reliable, and willing to learn.
• Are comfortable taking initiative and figuring things out.
• Have strong communication skills.
• Are able to work in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
• No specific major or previous experience required.
Bonus Qualifications
• UChicago students or recent graduates preferred.
