Job Description

Ryder Internship Program

The Ryder Internship program will allow students to apply their knowledge into current Ryder projects. Interns will develop a corporate business sense by learning how each department contributes to the overall organization as well as crucial problem-solving and public speaking skills while attending business meetings and participating in projects.

Essential Functions

  • Responsibilities will vary according to the area/department assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills And Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Preference for experience showing leadership capabilities
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
  • Personal initiative, ability to present and effectively interact with all levels of management and customers
  • Demonstrates analytical skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to support multiple projects
  • Ability to display confidence in learning new systems and processes quickly and establishing a strong customer rapport
  • Strong PC skills (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel) – intermediate required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required – Currently enrolled toward a degree
  • Strong PC skills (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel) – intermediate required
