• Mission: Support departmental goals by assisting with patient flow and equipment logistics within the hospital environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Logistics: Assist with the movement of essential items and medical equipment throughout the hospital.
• Facilitate Discharges: Help patients being discharged and collaborate with staff in dedicated discharge areas.
• Execute Tasks: Complete assigned operational, administrative, or professional duties under the guidance of a department leader.
• Communicate Progress: Observe, document, and effectively communicate work progress, findings, or any issues to supervising leaders or team members.
• Engage & Learn: Actively participate in staff and project meetings, engage in interdisciplinary discussions, and proactively seek out learning opportunities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completion of at least two years of high school is required. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age, with assignments involving chemicals or power tools requiring interns to be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, manage time wisely, and adhere to organizational policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Professionalism, a willingness to learn, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
• Bonus: Enrollment in and nearing completion of an undergraduate or terminal degree relevant to the internship. Clinical interns may also be required to be enrolled in an accredited professional program (e.g., pharmacy, nursing, allied health) and meet specific regulatory or licensure requirements.
