About the Role
Under the direct supervision of the department manager, the Intern will provide essential support to various departmental functions. This role involves actively contributing to departmental projects and undertaking special assignments as guided by the department manager or more senior team members. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience, develop professional skills, and immerse oneself in the operations of a leading motorsports organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists and provides support to department team members on assigned projects and initiatives.
- Collaborates effectively with department team members to successfully complete assigned tasks and functions.
- Manages correspondence and communicates effectively and professionally with internal team members and peers.
- Engages in networking and professional development activities with other departments and company personnel.
- Attends and actively participates in team meetings, contributing to discussions and understanding objectives.
- Develops and enhances skills and knowledge of the motorsports industry through shadowing and direct involvement.

Education and Experience Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
- Must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Must be at least a sophomore or second-year student in the degree program being pursued.
- Must be a collaborative team player with a high level of personal integrity.
- Must possess strong attention to detail and proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Must possess strong communication skills, encompassing written, oral, and analytical abilities.
- Must possess the ability to effectively multitask, problem-solve independently, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Must possess the ability to self-direct and take initiative in assigned duties.
- Must possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating effective time management.
Computer Skills
- Intermediate computer skills relevant to the department’s operational needs.
- Must possess advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including comprehensive spreadsheet creation and data manipulation.
Communication Abilities
- Ability to understand and consistently follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with both internal company personnel and external customers.
Attendance Expectations
This position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to meet departmental and company needs.
Physical and Environmental Demands
- Physical demands will vary among specific internship roles within the organization.
- Duties are performed primarily indoors but may occasionally involve work in a shop environment or outdoors.
- This role requires in-person presence and cannot be performed remotely.
Verbal and Writing Ability
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, professional correspondence, and internal memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
