About Job: Intern

The Grunley Intern role provides support to both the project management and superintendent teams. This position is designed to offer a comprehensive introduction to various aspects of construction project execution.

Required Education and Desired Major(s):
Candidates should be pursuing a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities of a Grunley Intern include:
• Attending project meetings and accurately recording minutes.
• Assisting with the surveying and layout of job sites.
• Verifying field dimensions to ensure accuracy.
• Regularly walking the job site to monitor progress.
• Monitoring the project for any unsafe conditions and reporting them.
• Preparing, reviewing, and marking up submittals and shop drawings.
• Taking site-work progress photos for documentation.
• Preparing daily reports and documenting manpower counts.
• Updating record drawings as changes occur.
• Preparing work plans and outage requests.
• Assisting with subcontractor coordination and updates to the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule.
• Assisting with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) submittals and tracking.
• Processing Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Procuring and tracking necessary materials.
• Assisting with subcontractor buy-out processes.
• Assisting with estimating take-offs.
• Assisting with the preparation of cost proposals.
• Attending company training seminars to further develop skills and knowledge.

Compensation and Benefits:
The hourly rate range for this intern role is $21.00-$25.00.
Housing and auto allowance will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
