Internship Program
The Sonoco Internship Program offers a unique opportunity to experience the world of manufacturing and packaging firsthand. Interns will spend their summer working on impactful projects within a specific division, gaining a deep understanding of Sonoco’s culture, processes, and business mindset.
Program Highlights:
• Hands-on Experience: Gain practical knowledge through real-world projects.

• Potential for Growth: The internship program is designed to be a stepping stone to the Emerging Leaders Program or other entry-level positions upon graduation.
Program Details:
• Duration: Approximately 12 weeks.
• Location: Approximately 150 locations in 34 states. Interns must be open to relocation for the summer.
• Compensation: Paid internship with relocation assistance provided (U-Haul cargo trailer). Housing and activity allowance is provided.
• Activities: Sonoco sponsored events for interns and Emerging Leaders Associates.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Masters degree program in Engineering, Sciences, Technology or Business majors.
• Previous internship experience (preferably in Manufacturing or a functional area).
• Proven leadership experience.
• Technical aptitude.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
• Undergraduate Business/Non-Technical Degrees:
• Senior: $4,100/month
• Junior: $3,900/month
• Sophomore: $3,700/month
• Freshman: $3,500/month
• Undergraduate Engineering/Technical Degrees:
• Senior: $4,700/month
• Junior: $4,500/month
• Sophomore: $4,100/month
• Freshman: $4,000/month
• Graduate Degree Business/Non-Technical:
• Senior: $4,900/month
• Graduate Degree Engineering/Technical:
• Senior: $5,500/month
