This intern role at Forvis Mazars offers hands-on experience in public accounting.
• Role Type: Intern
• Focus Areas: Internships are available in assurance (audit), tax, or a combination of both, depending on local office needs.
• Schedule: Positions can be part-time or full-time.
• Typical Internship Periods:
• Winter semester internships generally run from early-January through April 15th.
• Summer internships typically run from early-June through mid-August.
• Key Responsibilities (“How You Will Contribute”):
• Collaborating with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Preparing various tax returns, including individual, corporate, and partnership returns.
• Calculating tax extension or estimate payments.
• Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
• Desired Skills and Qualities (“We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:”):
• Solid technical accounting knowledge.
• Effective time management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, with a preference for proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.

• Willingness to take initiative.
• Close attention to detail.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Eligibility and Requirements:
• Candidates must be actively working toward an accounting degree.
• Candidates must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility.
• Must have reliable transportation for commuting to and from the assigned office.
• Ability to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
