Job Description:

As a Qualcomm Embedded Engineering Intern, you’ll join a team of world-class engineers to develop, implement, and maintain software for complex wireless devices. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation, contributing to the development of new technologies that will shape the future of connected devices.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, developing, and testing software for embedded systems.
• Implementing complex algorithms on embedded processors.
• Working with embedded microcontrollers and developing device drivers.
• Contributing to the software development life cycle of Qualcomm’s various software technologies.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Must be available for 11-14 weeks (preferably 12-14) during Summer 2025 (May-September) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
• 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with embedded programming in C/C++/Assembly and operating systems.
• Familiarity with programming in resource-constrained environments (MIPS/Memory).
• Knowledge of implementing complex algorithms on embedded processors.
• Experience with embedded microcontroller programming and developing device drivers.
• Expertise in real-time embedded programming in C/C++/Assembly for general purpose and heterogeneous processors, including GPUs and DSPs.
• Understanding of communication systems, communication theory, and digital signal processing (DSP, embedded firmware).
• Knowledge of wireless protocols such as 5G NR, LTE, and 802.11.
• Candidates actively pursuing a degree with an anticipated graduation within the upcoming year preferred (Dec 2025 to June 2026).
