Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal with 5+ years of experience, specifically within First- or Third-Party Property insurance, to join our Philadelphia, PA office. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work per week.
Responsibilities:
• Draft routine or complex legal documents for review by attorneys.
• Review, organize, and summarize reports and other case materials.
• Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and investigations as needed.
• Assist in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, and trial preparation, including preparing witnesses for deposition and/or trial.
• Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial.
• Provide assistance at trial.
• Experience and knowledge of the Federal Court CM/ECF system and filings.
• Experienced with the use of Summation or Eclipse.
• Ability to properly capture time and bill according to guidelines.
• Provide Support on claim demands/packets to third parties
• Fact Investigation & general claim pursuit
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal.
• Experience in Insurance Defense, specifically First- or Third-Party Property insurance is required.
• Experience and knowledge of the Federal Court CM/ECF system and filings.
• Experienced with use of Summation or Eclipse.
• Must be an experienced timekeeper committed to a minimum of 125 billable hours per month.
• Trial experience preferred.
• Stable work history and verifiable references.
Compensation and Benefits:
• FT Salary – $65K to $75K yearly base
• Comprehensive benefits package.
• Salary commensurate with experience.
• Paralegals are permitted to WFH two days a week after completing 90 days of employment
