Description: Insomniac Legal Intern
Insomniac Events is seeking a passionate and driven Insomniac Legal Intern to join their legal team in Calabasas, CA. This is a paid internship, offering an opportunity to gain real-world experience in the entertainment law field.
Responsibilities:
• Drafting: Learn the art of drafting various legal documents under the guidance of Senior Counsel.
• Research and Analysis: Dive into legal issues relevant to Insomniac’s business, with a focus on production, programming, and related aspects.
• Transactional Document Review: Analyze and finalize transactional documents, gaining insight into legal frameworks used in the industry.
• Exposure to Applied Law: Gain hands-on experience by researching and analyzing real-world legal issues pertinent to Insomniac’s operations.
Currently pursuings:
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Currently enrolled in at least the second year of law school.
• Rising 2L or 3L of an accredited law school, with a strong background in contracts, copyright, and entertainment/media law.
• Prior industry experience in the entertainment field is a plus.
• Commitment to working 10-24 hours per week.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency.
• Enthusiastic and motivated, embracing a “Everything is possible” attitude.
• Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac’s brands is preferred.
Work Environment:
• The ability to work in loud environments and busy settings is required.
• Be prepared to travel to events during evenings and weekends to meet deadlines.
Compensation:
• $19-$19 USD per hour.
