Information Technology Intern

GreenState Credit Union is offering a paid, on-site Information Technology internship opportunity for current students. This 12-week program, running from May 19th through August 7th, is designed to immerse interns in a fun, fast-paced environment, providing direct support to the assigned team and owning the outcome for a variety of projects.

Location: North Liberty, IA

Hourly Wage: $15/hr

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the Credit Union’s core values: truth, trust, mentoring, openness, risk-taking, communication, giving credit, integrity, caring, and respect.
  • Demonstrate a positive member service focus (internal and external) at all times, including greeting with a smile and eye contact, consistent usage of member names, and expressing gratitude for their business.
  • Exhibit teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of duties.
  • Ensure confidentiality of member information.
  • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of department events as directed.
  • Provide a variety of administrative and clerical support for departmental and organizational projects and tasks.
  • Interact with internal and external GreenState parties, including employees, department leaders, members, and vendors.
  • Participate in community service organizations and/or Credit Union sponsored events annually.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet Credit Union objectives; this job description is not exhaustive.

Job Requirements/Expectations

  • Must be a current undergraduate student entering their junior or senior year prior to the commencement of the internship.
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Reports to work punctually, works all scheduled hours, and works overtime as necessitated by business demand.
  • Ability to accommodate a non-traditional workweek, potentially including evening and/or weekend duties.
  • Enthusiasm for knowledge acquisition and learning.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Good telephone manners and techniques.
  • Ability to use and understand written material.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with related computer applications, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
  • Must be bondable.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the Data & Analytics Director.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
