Information Services Intern | Turner
The Tone:
This is an internship at Turner, located in Seattle, WA. Turner is a leading construction company, and this role contributes to the essential technology infrastructure that supports their operations, both in offices and on active construction sites. The Information Services Intern will help maintain critical information systems, assist end-users with technical issues, and improve internal workflows, ensuring smooth technological functioning for the company.

• Mission: To support the Information Services team by assisting with end-user support, system maintenance, and IT operations to ensure effective information sharing and system performance within a construction environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• User Support: Assist with providing technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• System Maintenance: Contribute to the development and maintenance of information systems, including imaging hardware, installing software, and setting up jobsites.
• Operational Support: Help the Information Services team with end-user support, asset management, and hardware and software deployment tasks.
• Documentation & Training: Develop end-user training materials and assist with creating and updating documentation for IS inventory, project sites, and systems.
• Project Collaboration: Participate in and assist with Information Services projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled and actively pursuing an accredited college or university degree program, or enrolled in a Co-op program, with recommended majors including Information Technology, Security, or Data Analytics.
• Experience: At minimum 1 year of completed education, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be 18 years of age to work at a construction project site.
• Skills: Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills in English, basic computer and data entry skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Bonus: Desire to work in Information Systems and learn about construction industries and technology, demonstrated interpersonal skills (e.g., student leadership), proactive, curious, eager to learn, and access to reliable transportation.
