Job Description: Industrial Engineering Intern
This internship offers the opportunity to work on targeted projects, individually or in small teams, within a dynamic environment. The work involves practical application of industrial engineering principles, requiring:
• Operational observations: Analyzing existing processes and workflows.
• Data collection: Gathering and organizing relevant data for analysis.
• Cross-functional communication: Collaborating with individuals from various departments.
• Problem-solving: Identifying inefficiencies and developing solutions.
All completed projects will be presented to the Industrial Engineering staff.
Specific project examples include (but are not limited to):
• Work measurement in Master Standard Data (MSD)
• Cost-benefit analysis
• Process improvement analysis
• Operational planning
Required Qualifications and Skills:
• Knowledge of Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Effective statistical analysis skills.
• Effective research and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm, idealism, creativity, and dedication to achieving results.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively across business units.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer. (Employer will not sponsor a visa.)
• Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the internship or willing to relocate.
• Must be a current student enrolled in a degreed college/university program, or a recent graduate (within the past 24 months).
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week.
Compensation and Benefits (for Non-Union Intern/Co-Op Positions):
• Pay Range Estimate: $15.40 – $32.14 per hour (Note: Actual compensation may vary based on location and education.)
• 401(k) retirement program (eligible after 90 days)
